Revisiting the Four Crossings of the Chishui River and Drawing Strength from the Long March — The Group Organizes Party Members to Watch the Patriotic Film “The Four Crossings” in a Collective Viewing Event
2026-06-27
To celebrate the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and mark the 90th anniversary of the victorious Long March of the Red Army, and to further strengthen ideological and political education among Party members and cadres, carry forward the red heritage, and fortify the ideological stronghold of the Group’s Party members and the broader workforce, on June 27 the Group organized a collective screening of the patriotic film “Four Crossings” under the theme “Recalling History Through Light and Shadow, Reflecting on Our Original Aspirations,” and held an immersive themed Party Day activity.

The film offers a panoramic reconstruction of the Four Crossings of the Chishui River, a classic battle in the history of the Long March. In 1935, following the Zunyi Conference, under the command of Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai, Zhu De, and others, the Central Red Army faced an extremely perilous situation—encircled and pursued by hundreds of thousands of Nationalist troops—yet it employed a highly mobile strategy of maneuver warfare, crisscrossing the border region of Sichuan, Guizhou, and Yunnan. By seizing opportunities with flexibility and launching proactive offensives to annihilate the enemy, the Red Army utterly shattered Chiang Kai-shek’s audacious plan to trap and destroy it along the Sichuan–Guizhou–Yunnan frontier, securing a victory of decisive significance in the strategic relocation of the Long March.

The film vividly reenacts the arduous journey of the Red Army soldiers along the Long March, as they braved perilous circumstances and scarce resources, surmounted countless obstacles, and fought their way through bloody breakthroughs. It profoundly embodies the great spirit of the Long March—unyielding courage in the face of sacrifice, unity and determination, and steadfast wisdom and action. The dramatic battle scenes and the selfless devotion to country and people displayed by our forebears deeply moved and profoundly inspired every Party member present.

Following the film screening, Party members unanimously agreed that the viewing was a profoundly moving exercise in strengthening their Party spirit. All Party members will deeply study and earnestly put into practice the spirit of the Four Crossings of the Chishui River, integrating its core values of boldness in exploration and action, pragmatism and innovation, and unity and progress into their daily work. They will uphold their original aspirations with unwavering commitment, take concrete actions to serve at the grassroots level, and truly transform this red heritage into an inexhaustible driving force for practical innovation and development.
Going forward, the Group will continue to strengthen Party building as its guiding principle, encouraging all Party members and cadres to remain committed to their respective roles and responsibilities. With unwavering conviction, boundless enthusiasm, and an even more robust work style, they will contribute to advancing the Group’s high-quality development.
